Vuk Celic Head Coach / Sr Performance Coach
Vuk Celic’s passion for swimming has been shaped by his extensive competitive career, which includes representing Serbia as an Olympic swimmer and setting national records in the 800m and 1500m freestyle, both short and long course. His achievements span prestigious international competitions, including the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, multiple World Swimming Championships, and the European Championships, where he reached the finals in 2015. Vuk also holds records at UNLV, including the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle, and represented the University at the NCAA Championships in 2021.
 
Throughout his career, Vuk trained within multiple international systems, learning from and collaborating with world-renowned coaches. This diverse coaching experience has profoundly shaped his approach to swimming, providing him with a deep understanding of the sport at the highest levels.
 
In 2022, Coach Vuk transitioned into coaching, where he quickly established a reputation for developing competitive swimmers through data-driven, individualized training programs. Under his guidance, athletes have achieved podium finishes at the Winter Junior National Championships, European Junior Championships, and World Junior Championships. His approach combines cutting-edge statistical analysis with a focus on technique, strategic planning, and psychological preparation, ensuring the optimal development and success of each swimmer.
Ned Maggiora Gold Group Coach

Ned played water polo and was an All-American for the Diablo Valley Junior College in 1974 and 1975. He continued his education at Pepperdine University, where he swam and played water polo. At the University, he was an All-American water polo player in 1976. Ned has participated on several AAU water polo national championship teams. Even though Ned claims that he is not as fit as he used to be, he continues to swim with the San Diego Swim Masters. He loves to swim in the Rough Water competitions and has won his age group numerous times.

Ned Maggiora has been a swimming coach in San Diego since 1978. He has taught swimmers from Novice to the Senior National level with the El Centro Sundivers, Chula Vista Aquatic Association, and the Eastlake Swim Team. Some of his swimmers have held or continue to hold San Diego-Imperial records. Ned's life-long love of swimming has been passed on to the thousands of athletes that he has touched.

Andy Randazzo Sr Prep/Sr Performance Coach

Coach Andy Randazzo has been involved in swimming nearly his whole life. He started out as an age group swimmer and continued to swim through high school and college. He  also stayed in the sport as a masters swimmer, showing that his love for swimming never stopped. On top of that, he has also been a swim parent, supporting his own kids in the sport.

For the 10 years, Coach Andy has been coaching swimmers. He currently coaches a group called Senior Prep with South Bay aquatics His job is to help swimmers take the next big step in their swimming journey. That might mean getting them ready for high school swimming, college swimming, or even competing at the national level with USA Swimming.

Coach Andy understands what swimmers need because he’s been in their shoes. He pushes his athletes to work hard, believe in themselves, and always aim higher. He knows that every swimmer is different, and he takes the time to help each one improve and reach their goals.

Coach Andy’s experience as a swimmer, parent, and coach helps him guide young athletes not just in the pool, but in life too. He’s all about building strong swimmers—and strong people.

Tom Paradowski SBA Ambassador

Tom Paradowski is the Head Coach of South Bay Aquatics. Tom began his swimming career at the age of seven with the National City Swim Club. As a nationally ranked age group swimmer, he broke many records. He was a CIF Champion swimmer for Sweetwater High School and attended the University of Tennessee on a swimming scholarship. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1979.

Tom began his coaching career with the Coronado Navy Swim Association as an assistant coach in 1976. In 1980, he became the Head Coach of the Southwestern College Men’s Swim Team. In 1982 he took over as Head Coach of the National City Swim Club, the oldest continually chartered USA Swimming team in San Diego. In addition to his club responsibilities, he was the Head Coach of the Sweetwater High School Swim team from 1984 to 1993. In 2000, he was selected as San Diego – Imperial’s “Age Group Coach of the Year”. Tom's dream of a united South Bay became a reality in 2001 when three teams, National City, Eastlake and Chula Vista, merged to form South Bay Aquatics. Tom has acted as both a San Diego-Imperial Swimming, All-Star and Western Zone Coach. As an active member of the San Diego-Imperial Swimming (LSC) Board of Directors, his dedication to the promotion of swimming is apparent.
