I am so excited to be a part of the amazing coaching staff for the Boise YMCA swim team. I have been swimming competitively since I was 10 years old. I joined the Boise Y swim team as a swimmer when I was a freshman in high school and now I am back, as a swim coach. I am also currently an active swimmer on the Sawtooth Master's swim team and triathlete. I will be competing in my third Ironman this fall in Arizona. Over the years, I have coached high school swimming and taught swim lessons. I have four girls--Adelaide 8, Lola 5, Arya 3, and Esmé. My oldest Adelaide swims in the Sockeye II group for the Boise Y team and hopefully in the future all my girls will share my passion and love for swimming.

Emri began swimming at the young age of 5 years old. She swam for Spokane Area Swimming under Coach Todd Marsh for 13 years. When she graduated from high school in 2012, she went on to swim for Boise State University on an athletic scholarship. Emri was a Winter National, Junior National & Y- National qualifier. She was a top 8 finalist at Y- Nationals for consecutive years. Emri was a part of Boise State’s Mountain West Conference Championship back in 2014 and was a top 8 finalist every year she swam at conference. She graduated from Boise State with a B.A in Communication and is currently back at BSU getting her second major in Broadcast Journalism. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back in the world of swimming especially at the YMCA. I grew up as a Y swimmer myself and there is nothing quite like being surrounded by the core values the Y instills in the community.”
