ABOUT US
The Sigonella Swordfish Swim Team is a part of the European Forces Swim League (EFSL), which was formed in the summer of 1975. The original teams of EFSL were in Germany and Belgium. Since then, the league has increased in size to 19 teams throughout Europe. The first annual EFSL Championship was held on 16 April 1977.
Our full swim season consists of two chamopionships: Long Distance and Short Distance. The Long Distance season runs from August until LDC (Long Distance Champsionship) in November. The Short Distance season runs from LDC until SDC (Short Distance Championship) in February.
Our swim team requires parent participation and volunteers. Please remember this when considering joining the Sigonella Swordfish.
