Weekly News
Hey Sailfish Families!

Weekly Updates:
This weekend at the Graceland prelims and finals meet, we learned lots of lessons. Thank you to all our awesome parent timers who volunteered. Awards for this meet were the experience gained and our top team point scorers won an Elvis bobblehead. Congratulations Zoey and TJ. (They are the ones with the forced smiles).
Friday we saw 7 first itme swims, 4 personal best, and 3 B cuts in the distance events. There were also some records broken but we have to wait for the official results to come out.

Saturday prelims we had 23 first itme swims, 57 personal best, 23 B, 18 BB and 3 A cuts. Saturday finals saw an additional 35 personal best, 21 B, 15 BB and 3 A cuts. Some more records were broken but we have to wait for the official results to come out.

Sunday prelims we had16 first itme swims, 57 personal best, 23 B, 24 BB cuts. Sunday finals saw an additional 32 personal best, 13 B, and 16 BB cuts. Some more records were broken but we have to wait for the official results to come out.
The grand total for the meet is 46 first time swims, 185 time improvements, 83 B cut, 74 BB cut and 6 A cut swims! This was a very good practice meet. Now we spend a month fixing and training for the championship season which begins January 17th.
Practice & Upcoming Events:
There is regular practice this week. As soon as the sun goes down it gets colder on deck. Remember to dress warmly, bring a towel, and schedule a punctual pickup. There is a rumopr that Coach Chris's "fish sticks" will be showing up at practice this or next week.
Resources:
- IMR & IMX Events are a great place to start if you are not sure which events to swim!
- The National Age Group Motivational Times are great goal targets to work toward!
Upcoming Meets:
Remember to register for seasonal meets early to ensure you get in and have time to prepare. Do not wait until the last minute! Reminder that for both the B and BB championships swimmers are automatically entered into those meets when they make the time standard. A and above meets are swimmer's choice.

Athlete Protection Training:
Reminder: USA Swimming requires all athletes 18+ to complete the APT Core Course by their 18th birthday, followed by annual Refreshers (1–3) to stay eligible. Non-compliance can result in suspension, so it's important for everyone to stay current with this requirement. The course can be found using the link below and by clicking "Athletes" > "18+ Requirements".
Happy Birthday to Quan!
