New Training Schedule (June 1st)

We hope this email finds you all absolutely pumped up and ready for some thrilling news about our swim team's training regimen! At our Annual Meeting we discussed upcoming changes to our training and we are ecstatic to share that we're gearing up for a major upgrade in how we approach summer.

As we continuously strive for nothing short of excellence, we've been analyzing every stroke, every kick, and every flip turn to find ways to elevate our young swimmers while strategically planning for Summer 2024.

Let's dive into the details -

Current State: We're practically bursting at the seams with talent! Our Elite and Senior groups are at full throttle and are showing tremendous improvment in every event. Junior squads are stacked, packed filling and up fast. We anticipate all groups being full before we get to June.

What We've Learned This Season: Dryland is an absolute game-changer for ALL our groups. Plus, with Junior 3's struggling to make it to the pool on time for their 4pm sessions, it's become crystal clear that we need to shake things up and give them the attention they deserve. After some intense brainstorming sessions with our coaching dream team, we've decided to shake things up a bit. This decision wasn't made lightly, but we're convinced it's going to take our team to new heights!

Here's What's in Store -

Increased Individual Attention: With smaller, more refined groups, our coaches will be able to provide greater individualized attention to each swimmer. This means more personalized feedback and guidance, leading to faster progress and improvement.

Optimized Training Programs: The new structure will allow us to tailor training programs more precisely to the skill level and goals of each group. Whether your child is just starting out or aiming for competitive success, they will receive the appropriate training and support to excel.

Enhanced Team Dynamics: By grouping swimmers with similar abilities and aspirations together, we aim to foster a stronger sense of camaraderie and teamwork within each group. This supportive environment will not only boost morale but also inspire our young athletes to push themselves further.

Clearer Pathways for Advancement: We have designed the new structure with clear pathways for advancement in mind. As swimmers progress and demonstrate readiness, they will have the opportunity to move up to the next level, ensuring continuous growth and challenge.

Changes Kick Off June 1st:

Junior 1: Get ready for a smoother transition! Junior 1 athletes not quite ready to make the leap to Junior II will have sessions on MWF from 4-4:30 pm, giving them a sneak peek into the Junior 3 action while ensuring they're fresh and ready to crush it.

Junior 2: Summer's about to get intense! We're ramping up the dive game with jump boxes and Indo Boards. Plus, come fall, get ready to train like never before as we move all Junior 2 sessions to 4 pm to meet the soaring demand for Senior spots.

Junior 3: Brace yourselves for an extended power hour! Junior 3 sessions are getting beefed up, with dryland from 4-4:30 pm and swim training from 4:30-5:30 pm. It's time to take your skills to the next level!

Senior and Elite: MWF classes will be pushed back 30 min making it much easier for athletes to get to dryland.

We also have plans to train Long Course for you guys this summer and are finalizing details with Coach Mark at Cedar Ridge.

Bonus: This summer, we're bringing in some heavy hitters from our graduating Elite squad to coach our Junior groups and host advanced swim practices. Get ready for some serious skill-building sessions!

We know change can be a bit nerve-wracking, but trust us, these adjustments are going to be a game-changer for every member of our team. We're here to support you every stroke of the way, so if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you all for your unwavering support and dedication to our team. The future is looking brighter than ever, and we can't wait to see each and every one of our swimmers soar to new heights in our revamped training groups!
