Parent Meetings

             Parent meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, unless otherwise notified.  The next meeting will be February 7, 2007 at 7:30 pm for the Senior Group and 6:35 for all other groups.

Upcoming Swim Meets

Meet @ Santa Clara  Jan. 13, 14

*This is a very large meet so please plan to arrive at the meet by 7:00 to 7:30 a.m.  or earlier to find a place for your things and to check-in. Parking is an issue and if you want a place close to the pool, please arrive early. Warm-up for the Senior group will be at 8:10 a.m. All Other groups will warm-up at 8:00 Swimmers who are late may not be able to warm-up with the group.*  Team Captain for this meet is Grant Hashimoto and CeCe Pena.  Team Captains are in charge of getting the Senior group to the blocks for warm-up at 8:10AM sharp and ?Team Spirit? during the meet.

The area behind the starting blocks will be roped off.  Due to the amount of swimmers at this meet, only swimmers and officials will be allowed in the area immediately behind the blocks. Parents are only allowed behind the blocks if they are timing in an MCAT designated lane.  All Parents are required to work at this meet.  We are required by the Zone to fulfill our team assigned duties.  These duties include timing, marshaling, officiating and working the check in desk.  MCAT SVA parents are expected to fill 3 timing chairs at all times during the meet.

-Swimmers should bring a cap, goggles, several towels, warm clothes, games or books, snacks, and water each day of a meet.  Swimmers (and parents) may also want a sleeping bag or blankets to stay warm or rest in between events.  The weather is getting colder, so it?s important to prepare accordingly.  Make plans for cold weather.  Warm feet, warm head and warm hands are the key to fast swims.
