Grant Hashimoto from MCAT wins the Silver at Junior Olympics
Monterey County Aquatic Team Members attended the Pacific Swimming Long Course Junior Olympics July 19-22,2007 at Independence High School in San Jose, California. Grant Hashimoto 16 of Salinas earned a Silver medal in the 50 free with a time of (25.95). He also placed in the 100 free (56.81) and the 200 free (2:05.40). Alex Morris of Salinas placed in the in the 100 Breast 1:14.74, 200 Breast (2:45.65). Alex also had personal best times in the 100 free (59.10), 200 back (2:46.81), and 100 fly (1:07.64). Abby Creager 16 from salinas had a personal best time of (1:32.84) in the 100 breast. Jacob Rianda of Carmel had a personal best time in the 50 free (27.94). And... Toby Macabugao 10 year old of Salinas had three best times in the 100 breat (1:42.86), 50 fly (38.10) and the 100 fly (1:28.55). Toby earned his first Far Western meet Qualifying times in the 50 and 100 fly. Swimmers from MCAT earning qualifying times to the Far Western Long Course Championships are Toby Macabugao,Travis Rianda, Jake Rianda, Janna Fahmy,Alex Morris, and Grant Hashimoto.
