West Coast Aquatics Meet/ MCAT Swimmers show drastic imrpvement

5 MCAT swimmers attended the meet at West Coast Aquatics Pool at Independence High this past weekend.  They all netted personal best times.  The girls swam on Saturday, earning 3  best times each and five new B times.  Morgan Marsiguerra dropped 4 seconds in the 100 free (1.29.67), 3 seconds in the 50 back (49.11) and 4.5 seconds in the 50 fly (48.20).  Wow!   Jam Macabugao earned all new B times in her Saturday swims.  Her 50 free was (34.34) dropping 1 second. Her 50 fly was a (36.30 )dropping 1/2 second and 100 fly earned her a B time in this first time swim.  She got out and agreed that the 100 fly was a fun race.

The MCAT Boys also swam well.  Toby swam the 50 fly (33.81) earning him a new Far Western cut and a new AA+ time, dropping 2 seconds.  He earned a new A time in the 200IM (2:47.93), swimming a very well executed race. And .....then minutes later swam the 400IM earning a new A time and swiing it in a 601.36.  This is not a race comonly offered or swa by 10 year olds.  He swam it beautifully.  Cole Rianda swam on Sunday.  In his 100 free he dropped 10 seconds proving hard work pays off big. He had a 1 second drop in his back and a 3 second drop in his breast (51.74).  He swam the 200 free for the first time in 3:26.19.  Grant Hashimoto earned 2 new best times.  He earned a 6 second drop in the 200 back with awesome streamlines off of every wall.  He also had a nice 1/4 second drop in the 50 free(unshaved, unrested, and untappered).  It was a fine weekend.  The weather was great and the swimming was even better.

Good Job MCAT Swimmers!
