Your note about Sonny and Lillian was inspiring.  So I decided to change my United Way contributions to our team.  Now I’ll be able to see my money at work as opposed to the other non-profits that I’m accustomed to giving to. 
 
Maybe others will be inclined to so something.

Dear MCAT FAMILY MEMBER,

If you are looking for a great cause to donate to, then look no more.  We are a non-profit corporation 501 3 c. Our Charitable trust registry no:  037465.    Our goal is to raise 57,000.00 this year.   Your donations are tax deductable our EIN is 94-2451852.  Any donation large or small will be appreciated by the community of kids we provide swimming to.  Last year we taught swim safety lessons to over 300 kids in the Salinas area. We sponsored 2 community water safety days and we also provided USA swim team to over 70 participants.  We have provided water rent time at below cost to 4 area high school programs, synchronized swimming, and 4 high school diving programs.   Over 60% of our programming is subsidized by fundrasing.  Please help us continue our programming by contributing to the cause of providing young adults with a positive, healthy, and safe environment.
