Minutes of General MCAT/SVA/SVDF Meeting 9/24/08

 
A General Meeting was called to order at 5:45PM, at the Hartnell College Pool deck by President Davyd Morris on Wednesday, September 24,2008.

Head Coach Dia Rianda welcomed the parents and made the following announcements:

Parent/Swimmer  Awards Banquet will be held on October 11,2008 at 1PM at pessagno Vineyard.

Explained online meet entries and the importance of entering before the meets fill up.  Check the www.mcatsva.org site for meet schedule and entry procedure.

Introduced new coach: Amber Kearney

President Davyd Morris presented the Nominating Committees Slate of prospective officers and respectfully declined his nomination to the board.  A motion to accept the list of canditiates was made and seconded, and the slate of officers were approved for the General Election.

Jim Hashimoto- President

Matt Best -1st VP

John Leonard - Paliamentarian

Pete Marsiguerra- Member at Large

Nominations from the floor were then opened and;  William Dunston was nominated for the position of Treasurer, he accepted the nomination.   No other nominations from the floor were made.

The election of officers was held for the above mentioned positions.  The 2009 nominated candidates were voted in unanomously by the membership.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:10PM

Next Board Meeting will be held at 210 Capitol Street on October 28,2008 at 7:30PM.
