MCAT Swimmers swim their best at WEST LC Meet on April 18 & 19,2009
Speaking of Best, let's start off with Rachel Best who swam 100% best times at the meet, dropping 11.9 seconds in her 50 free going 43.87. She also dropped 8.45 seconds in the 50 back, going 58.96.
Liz Whalen, who is not afraid to enter or swim any event, long or short, netted 100% best times in all of her races. She raced to 3 new A times in the 50 free (39.30) with a 6 second drop, 100 free drooping 11.36 seconds going (1:27.42) and a incredible drop of 43.58 seconds in the 200IM going (3:40.72). She dropped 25+ in the 100 breast, over 20 seconds in the 100 back and an average per race drop of 8.5 seconds in the 50 back, 50 breast,and 50 fly. You Go girl!!!!
Celeste Valdez tore up the pool by earning 4 new A times. She dropped 2.8 seconds in the 50 back (42.35), 13.66 seconds in the 100 fly (1:29.05), 2.26 seconds in the 100 free (1:15.65). WOW
Toby Macabugao earned 100% best times, with a new PRT in the 50 breast (37.90). He also swam 2 new JO cuts in the 100 free and 100 back and a New A in the 200 fly. In his 100 free he dropped 15.5 seconds.
Dennis Wang swam 100 % best times in 7 races. Dude,you rock!!!! 50 free (34.86) dropping 9.75 seconds,100 free (118.69) dropping 20.76 seconds,100 back (1:30.89) dropping 20.66 seconds,50 breast(46.07) dropping 11.23 seconds,100 breast dropping 22.51 seconds,100 fly dropping 27.49 seconds and the 200 Im dropping 39.19 seconds
Jam Macabugao earned 100% best times with new B times in the 200 back and 100 breast. Way to go !!!!
Grant Hashimoto earned new JO cuts in the 200 back and 100 breast.
What a great way to begin Long Course season. Congratulations MCAT Swimmers. We coaches are so proud of you, especially those who work so hard at practice and show up for the daily fun).
