MCAT HS Swimmers 2009
The High School League Season came to a close this weekend. The following MCAT Swimmers participated in their league Chapionships for their respective schools May 8,2009 and May 9.2009.
MBL’s
Emir Yilmaz took second in the 100 fly with a best time and 1st in the 100 back going 56.7.
Grant Hashimoto took 1st in the 50 free (22.37) and 1st in the 100 going (49.06) earning the fastest CCS qualifying times in the 3 local leagues.
TCAL’s
Kevin Serrano shattered his time in the 200 free for an 8th place finsh going (2:09.44) and a fantastic 9th place finsh in the 500 free. Not bad for a swimmer that has only been swimming for a year and incredibly smart swims.
Joe Ordaz-Hoang swam to a 4th place finsh in the 200 free, breaking the 2 minute barrier going 1:59, He also placed 7th in the 100 back, going 1:06.77 and taking 2 seconds off his race. Joe earned his spot on the CCS 200 free relay. What a surprise!
Matt Boensel swam a Personal best time in the 50 free (14.34) placing 8th. He also placed 10th in the 100 fly with a personal best time of 102:25 dropping 2 seconds. Matt has earned a spot on the 4 x100 relay at CCS. Matt’s consistent attendance really paid off for him.
Heather Parcascio swam to a 1st place finish in the 50 free going (25.86) and earning a CCS cut and placed 3rd in the 100 free. She will also be swimming in relays at CCS for her team.
Joey Gracia earned his CCS qualifying time in the 100 fly taking off over 2 seconds in his 100 fly (55.54) He placed 3rd in that event. Joey placed 6th in the 100 . Great going (1:12.72)
Timmy Gracia placed 9th in the 50 free (24.36) and placed 4th with an awesome swim in the 100 back (1:00.56).
Tyler Wells placed 7th in the 50 free going 23.99 and had a great 3rd place swim in the 100 breast (107.75). Tyler has qualified for the relays at CCS. KUDOS
Brook Caraccioli placed 9th in the 100 free with a 1:04.71 and 5th in the 50 fre with a 28.60. Wow !
Emily Alvarez placed 7th in the 100 free,swimming a 1:04.17 and placed 8th in the 200 free going 2:23.92. Nice Job!
Mario Alvarez placed 10th in the 50 free with a 24.85 and in the 100 free he placed 9th with a 56.90. Good Work.
Adam Fahmy swam to a 2nd place finish in the 50 free , earning a CCS qualifying time 22.96 and a 6th place finish in the 100 fly (57.80) He has also qualified for the relay teams a CCS.
