Pacific Swimming

10 and Under Wonder Women

Karlee:  She swam to two best times to add to the three she got last weekend. She dropped in her 25 free and 100IM. The one thing she did that made me the most proud......on her 2nd event, 8 of the 10 girls got up on the first whistle. Karlee didn't. She knew she wasn't supposed to, so she didn't. The starter made all the other girls get down and then reminded them not to get up on the blocks til the long whistle. It's a big step for her to not follow everyone else and do what she knew she was supposed to do.

Amanda:  It was a 4 hour wait til her first event.. It was so nice to see her finish with a smile on her face. She had 3 of 4 best times including her Pacific Recordable Time (PRT) in the 50 br. Amanda swam like a trouper. The breast stroke was fantastic.

Miranda: had by far the meet of her life. She dropped 10 seconds in the 200fr, 2 seconds in the 50 br, 4 seconds in the 50 back AND got her JO time, and 3 seconds in the 100fr. She could've gone faster in both freestyle events but wasn't sure how to control the 200 (it's only the 3rd time she's ever swam it) and she was so far ahead of everyone else in her heat for the 100 that she wasn't sure if something was wrong.

The weather was great and everyone was pleasant to be around.
