JO's Summer 2012

 

MCAT swimmers Arianne Movilla , Kayne Doughty, Toby Macabugao and Michael Michalski swam last weekend in the blazing sun and heat in Moraga, Ca. These MCAT swimmers qualified for and swam at the Summer Long Course Junior Olympics for Pacific Swimming.

Arianne swam 3 events. She competed in the 50 fr, 200 bk and 100 br.

Kayne swam 6 events and improved in 2 of the races. He swam the 1500 in 21.44.22 and dropped 21.44.22 seconds. He dropped 2.59 seconds in the 50 back going a blistering 2.59 seconds.

Toby acheived stunning drops in al of his events improving times swum by 100% improved. He finaled in several races, placing 3rd in the breast stroke. He earned 2 new PRT's in the 15-16 age group. Improved the 100 free by .76, the 100 breast by 1.9 sec. ,200br by 4.75 sec. 200IM by 7.31 seconds. Awesome swimming!

Michael Michalski also acheived 100% best times showing the most dramatic improvement by an MCAT swimmer. He placed 9th in the IM. He dropped a stunning 56.98 seconds in the 400free, 3.34 in the 200 back and 1:08.63 in the 400IM. Who oes that you say? A young man that kills himself in practice and shows up daily. Kudos
