Friday & Saturday Finals - Officials meeting @ 4:30 p.m., Session begins @ 5:30 p.m.
Sunday Finals - Officials meeting @ 3:30 p.m., Session begins @ 4:30 p.m.
Uniform for all sessions of the meet will be white polo-type shirt over navy shorts, slacks or skorts with white shoes. Please remember not to have team names or team logos on your shirt, as this is a championship meet.
If you can help out at this meet, there is a Senior Championships Application to Officiate downloadable from the FS web site at http://www.floridaswimming.org/SubTabGeneric.jsp?team=szfllsc&_stabid_=74303 that you may complete and email back to me. While submittal of the form helps us plan our staffing for the meet, we will not turn any qualified official away. If your plans should later change and you find yourself available for the meet, we would love to have you on deck. The above link will be active as soon as possible, so please be patient.
Additionally, this meet has been approved as an Officials Qualifying Meet for the National Certification program. Those desiring initial certification or re-certification above the LSC level can review the details of the program by following the link above to the Florida Swimming web site - and using the link on this page to the Evaluation Application form. There will be opportunities at the meet for eligible officials to be evaluated for N2 and some N3 level positions. Please complete the form and email the completed application to me or bring it with you to the meet. We will attempt to accommodate as many officials as we can on a first received basis, so emailing the form back to me will help ensure you are able to be observed in the role you desire observation. Keep in mind that if you are selling an N3 evaluation, you must be committed to work at least 4 sessions of the meet. For N2 evaluations, you must be committed to work at least 3 sessions of the meet. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Please reply to me with your availability by session, current certification level and time at the position. As a reminder, any new stroke/turn judges must work at least 5 meets and 15 meet sessions before being on deck at an LSC Championship Meet. Also, any official advancing into a new position (i.e. from Starter to Deck Referee) cannot work in the new position at a Championship meet until they have worked a minimum of 5 meets and 15 sessions in that position. Please remember to bring your registration and certification cards to the meet for verification.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this meet. I hope to see you on deck.
Ellen Johnson
Lead Chief Judge
