On September 1, 2022, USA Swimming will be launching its new SWIMS database. With this launch comes some changes to providers who offer Learn to Swim (LTS) and pre-competitive programs.
Based on your feedback, the SWIMS database launch will allow for a more user-friendly dashboard. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to add staff, update primary contact information and edit facility information. In addition, users will be able to recover and update passwords themselves.
To take advantage of these new features, and to continue to be listed on USA Swimming’s Find a Provider search tool, all LTS providers will have to manually reapply to the Swim Lesson Provider Network. The ability to reapply will be available starting October 3, 2022, and upon approval, will provide users an updated dashboard in SWIMS. This means LTS providers and pre-competitive programs will not populate in the Find a Provider search tool on the USA Swimming website between September 1 - October 2, 2022.
Here are your steps to reapply:
- Starting October 3, 2022 you will have the ability to reapply to the Swim Lesson Provider Network.
- An email will be sent with the website link to reapply on October 3, 2022.
- Once your application is submitted, select USA Swimming staff will approve or deny.
- Upon approval, LTS providers are given access to a new membership dashboard. In addition, the updated information is automatically uploaded into the new Find a Provider search tool on the USA Swimming website.
Please note, in order to be eligible to apply for USA Swimming Foundation Youth Learn to Swim Grants, which open October 18, providers must first have completed the manual reapplication process and been approved within the new SWIMS database.
Lastly, starting January 1, 2023, LTS providers applying for participation in the swim lesson provider network will incur an annual listing fee of $50.00*. If providers reapply for their new dashboard before January 1, 2023, the annual listing fee for the 2022-2023 season will be waived. All LTS providers who have not reapplied for their new dashboard before January 1, 2023 will be charged the listing fee.
