Junior Nationals Update

Eight of TSM's finest are off to the races at USA Swimming's Junior National Championships in Palo Alto!

After four days of competition, the team has seen 7 lifetime bests (2 each by Mun Hon Lee and Sam Ruddy and 1 each by Andy Lau, Eugene Tee, and Orion Young).  The team also posted a top 20 individual finish (Eugene Tee's 400 IM - 13th).

In the relay events, TSM nabbed 21st place in the Men's 400 Free Relay (Young, Tee, Ruddy, Halson).  The team of Ruddy, Tee, Halson and Lee finished 24th in the 800 Free Relay, featuring a lifetime best lead-off split of 1:55.39 (-0.29) from Sam Ruddy.  Also noteworthy were the "freakishly" fast relay splits in the shorter freestyle events by Max Halson, whose best event is typically the 10K Open Water race.  Max's relay exchanges have been a hot topic among the officials at the meet, due to his (literally) perfect timing on his take-offs.  Way to go, Max!
