TSM's Serafina King Competes at Can-Am Open in La Mirada!
From December 8-10, some of the world’s top swimmers will take part in the 2011 Can-Am Open Swimming Championships hosted by U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), in La Mirada, Calif. One such swimmer is TSM's own, 13 year-old Serafina King! The event is one of the final warm-ups before the U.S. Paralympic - Swimming team trials and the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England.
In all, 176 swimmers from 11 countries will compete. The roster of competitors includes 18 U.S. Paralympians from the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, and the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece.
La Mirada’s Regional Splash Center will host the competition. Prelims will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day with finals taking place at 3:30 p.m during the three-day event. Admission is FREE. For complete meet info, CLICK HERE.
