All of Mason’s top SCY times are from the 2018 Kevin B. Perry Invite in November. Last summer, Mason represented Team Great Britain at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, where he raced to a 42nd-place finish in the 5K contest.

The Sun Devils just lost their top distance swimmer, Ben Olszewski, who has exhausted his NCAA eligibility. Last season, he led the team in the 500 free (4:14.38) and the mile (14:52.84). ASU had four men under 4:20 in the 500 at 2020 Pac-12s, but Olszewski was the only miler under 15:10 last season. Mason will come in ready to be one of their top distance swimmers as a freshman.

Mason would’ve snagged a 15th-place finish in the mile at the 2020 Pac-12 Champs.

Mason is part of a distance-oriented incoming class for the Sun Devils led by age group standout Lleyton Plattel. Also in the class of 2024 are Alex Gusev, Will Rose, and Taylor Williams.
