UANA Remembers Jose Antonio Mejia Ramirez, water polo referee of Mexico

 

It is with great sadness that we share with our UANA family the unhappy news of the passing of Jose Antonio Mejia Ramirez, water polo referee of Mexico.  Antonio Mejia was a long time and committed CCCAN, UANA and FINA referee having started his UANA career in 1992.  Most recently he proudly represented the Mexican Swimming Federation where he officiated at the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011.  He was well known for his commitment to water polo in the Americas and his willingness to help out as needed.  Antonio was truly our friend.  We pass our sympathy on to his family, his friends and his federation.  He will be missed.
