Arturo Pérez Vertti swam to a new Mexican Record

 

MEXICO--Arturo Pérez Vertti swam to a new Mexican Record, and an Olympic B time, in the men's 1500 free last week at the 2012 Canada Olympic Trials in Montréal, Québec. Pérez Vertti clocked a 15:24.58 in prelims to better the national mark of 15:26.32 attributed to Luis Escobar from 2009.
