Background:
The 2012 U.S. Olympic Women's Water Polo Team, reigning Olympic Silver Medalist, will be introduced for the first time. These will be the 13 athletes who will compete at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. The United States earned a berth in the 2012 Olympic Games by virtue of a Gold Medal at the 2011 Pan American Games. The U.S. Olympic Women's Water Polo Team is the only team to win a medal at every Olympic Games contesting the sport of water polo for women.
