4 National records set at Bermuda Nationals
BERMUDA--Four short-course Bermuda Records were bettered at the 2012 Bermuda Nationals, held this past weekend (June 7-10) in Pembroke. Roy-Allan Burch, who reportedly is Bermuda's only currently-qualified Olympic swimmer, set 3 of the marks. The new 25m records were swum in:
-men's 50 free: 22.51, Roy-Allan Burch
(old= 22.81, Burch, 2011 Nationals)
-men's 100 free: 50.25, Roy-Allan Burch
(old= 50.62, Burch, 2011 Nationals)
-men's 200 breaststroke: 2:19.96, Julian Fletcher
(old= 2:21.60, Graham Smith, November 2001)
-men's 50 fly: 24.98, Roy-Allan Burch
(old= 25.62, tie: Stephen Fahy, June 1998 and Michael O'Connor, June 2007)
