*THE FOLLOWING ANALYSIS IS FOUND IN JUNE 11 WSCA NEWS: New Zealand swimmers Cara Baker and Kane Radford may be blocked by New Zealand's qualifying criteria from accepting their allocated spots to the Olympics. This may mean that the next eligible female (Linsy Heister, Netherlands) and Guam's Benjamin Schulte may end up at the 2012 Olympics in their places (note: there was no other Oceania nation entered for females at the race; so the continental allocation there presumably will go back to the general pool). The New Zealand Olympic standards required that their swimmers finish within the top-9 of the race in order to qualify to go to the Games.

This strictness follows what happened in the pool for New Zealand, as reports indicate that Sophie Batchelor, whose 58.71 in the 100 fly set a New Zealand Record, but missed the Olympic "A" standard of 58.70 and
consequently she will not be at the 2012 Olympics, even if she gets picked-up in the “B” standards qualifying by FINA/the Olympics.
