Eight Records Tumble at St. Lucia Developmental Swim Meet

 

EIGHT RECORDS TUMBLE AT DEVELOPMENTAL SWIM MEET

 

The St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association continued with its mandated series of developmental swim meets with the "SHORT AXIS STROKES MEET" successfully hosted on, Sunday 25^th November 2012 at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre.

 

This particular meet was designed to encourage the swimmers to strive for best times in the Short Axis Strokes (i.e. Breaststroke and Butterfly) and included swimmers who have just started training in the club system, more experienced swimmers, elite swimmers and the Masters.

 

The seven main Swim clubs in the island were all represented, Lightning Aquatics Swim Club SHARKS Swim Club, Racers Swim Club, Southern Flying Swim Club, Sea Hawks Swim Club, Cobras Swim Club and Sea Jays Swim Club

 

Eight Age group records were established being

 

Female 8 & Under 100 Breast

This event also gave the athletes exposure in competition and helps to prepare them for the December and January meets.
