Germany to offer symposium for diving researchers

1st  Symposium for Researchers in Diving :  May 8-9, 2013 | Leipzig, Germany
 
A symposium for researchers from all over the world who are currently active in diving research is being organized for May 8-9, 2013 in Leipzig, Germany.
 
The aim of this research symposium is an actual exchange of contemporary state of the art research of experts in sport biomechanics, sport psychology, athletic training, kinesiology and medicine who are involved in academic and non-academic research in diving. This could be the start of a continuous exchange with regard to scientific development in diving.
 
The symposium is planned to include two keynote lectures and four thematic sessions. One of the keynote lectures will be Professor Dr. Wei Guo LIU from the School of Physical Education of the Guangxi Normal University, who will talk about  “A Biomechanics Research on approach and jump on springboard”.  A second keynote lecture will be held by Professor Dr. Doris Miler of (Ontario) Canada with the title: “Teaming Up to Enhance Diving Performance”.
 
The symposium will be organized by Prof. Dr. Oliver Stoll (Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and Dr. Thomas Koethe (diving research coordinator of the German Swimming Federation.
