USA Claims FINA Short Course World Championship Title in Istanbul 
 

ISTANBUL, TURKEY--The USA's Ryan Lochte bettered a second short-course World Record over the weekend at the 11th FINA Short Course Worlds in Istanbul. Following Friday, where Lochte swam under the 200 IM mark, in semifinals of the men's 100 IM he led qualifying in a 50.71, going under the 50.76 World mark swum by Peter Mankoc at the 2009 European Championships, also in Istanbul.
