FINA Development Programmes 2013
FINA Development Programmes 2013
In its efforts to promote and encourage the development of Swimming throughout the world, FINA organises clinics for Coaches (Technical Courses) and Officials (Judges and Referees) of all levels (beginner to advanced) for its five disciplines on every continent. In 2013, about 100 clinics will be organised.
Moreover, FINA schools provide training and certification for Officials (Judges and Referees) in all aquatic disciplines. From Port Moresby (PNG) to Santo Domingo (DOM), Dar-es-Salaam (TAN) to Riga (LAT), officials are given the opportunity to enhance their skills with the help of FINA instructors. This year, no less than 30 schools are scheduled worldwide.
This year's first school will gather 80 water polo referees in Los Angeles (USA) from January 18-20.
The new quadrennial plan for the Technical Courses for Coaches, a programme which is carried out jointly by FINA and the Olympic Solidarity, will be announced by the end of this month.
Also part of FINA's development strategy is the FINA Swimming Coaches Certification courses, which will also be organised this year.
