Synchro Canada’s 2013 Annual Convention in Halifax, N.S.
Halifax, January 22, 2013 - Canada’s synchronized swimming elite will gather in Halifax, N.S., on November 1-3, 2013, for Synchro Canada’s 3rd Annual Convention.
During the first two editions, the conventions, held in St. John’s, NL, and Winnipeg, MB., assembled more than 80 Synchro Canada employees, committee members, Senior National Team coaches and specialists, developmental and high performance coaches from across Canada, Canadian international and national officials and provincial association members.
Synchro Canada also brought senior national team athletes who represented the country at the 2012 Olympic Games. On site, they shared their technical expertise and their passion for the sport to the young athletes and coaches from Newfoundland-and-Labrador and Manitoba, and to the participants of the convention.
‘’Synchro Canada is very pleased to assemble its members in Nova Scotia,’’ said Synchro Canada’s CEO Catherine Gosselin-Després. ‘’We want to leave a legacy to our members in the province and we hope, with our National Team members visit in Halifax in December 2012 and the upcoming convention in November 2013, that we can help to inspire this community so they will push their limits to achieve amazing objectives to grow synchronized swimming in this area as well as be inspired for the future by our top athletes, coaches and officials.”
“Synchro Nova Scotia is looking forward to hosting Synchro Canada’s Convention and is excited to be welcoming our Canadian coaches, athletes, provincial executive directors, presidents, Synchro Canada’s board and staff members”, said Synchro Nova Scotia’s President, Mirella Furlan. “We value the educational experience the Convention will bring to all the participants and Nova Scotia, especially to our Maritime coaches and athletes. As Nova Scotians, we are excited to showcase our province and welcome all with our Maritime hospitality.”
