Argentina hosts first race of the 2013 FINA Open Water Grand Prix

 

ROSARIO, ARGENTINA--Italy's Simone Ercoli and Spain's Esther Núñez were the top male and female at the Rosario 15K, which was the first race of the 2013 FINA Open Water Grand Prix. Ercoli finished in 1:51:03, just ahead of a tight race for second between fellow Italian Mario Sanzullo (1:51:08.20) and Argentina's Guillermo Bertola (1:51:08.7). On the female side, Núñez (1:58:38) also finished ahead of a tight race for second, between Croatia's Karla Sitic (2:01:14) and Russia's Olga Kozydub (2:01:16). 18 males and 13 females swam the race; results can be found online here:
