Mexican Swimming Federation holds Extraordinary General Assembly & Elections

The Mexican Swimming Federation, Federación Mexicana de Natación (FMN), held both an Extraordinary General Assembly and an Ordinary General Assembly this past weekend in Mexico City. The Extraordinary meeting was held on Friday (February 22) to adjust FMN's statues so that the next elected Board's term would extend through the 2017 World Championships, which Mexico will host, rather than end 90 days before the championships. This passed.

On Saturday, FMN's 2013 General Assembly was held, where officers were elected to that 2013-17 term. Elected to positions were:
  -President: Kiril Todorov
  -Secretary General: José Hernández Abascal
-Vice Presidents (5): Jesús David Quintero Azuara (Swimming), Víctor Manuel Ordoñez Morales (Masters), Ismael Meneses Rúelas (Diving), Elena Zepeda Flores (Synchro), and Alejandro Vázquez Ramírez (Water Polo).

Reports on the two meetings can be found on the FMN website [in Spanish] here:
