USA's Dumais brothers dive in the FINA Diving World Series in Beijing

The first leg of the FINA Diving World Series has concluded from Beijing.

2012 Olympic bronze medalist Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Austin, Texas) teamed up with younger brother Dwight Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Austin, Texas) to score 380.37 points to finish fifth in the synchronized 3-meter final, which China’s He Chong and Qin Kai won with 468.90 points. Kristian Ipsen (Clayton, Calif./Stanford), Troy’s synchro partner from the 2012 Olympic Games, competed at the NCAA Zone Meet this week (he won the 1M, 3M and platform events).

Troy also competed in the individual 3-meter event, where he scored 424.20 points in semi-final B. China’s Qin Kai won the event, scoring 548.65 in the final.

The Dumais brothers will now head to Dubai for the second leg of the 2013 FINA World Series. Competition in Dubai is set for March 21-23.
