SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA--Reports indicate that cold pool water caused the Swimming portion of the 2013 Central American Games to change pools after its first day of competition last week in San Jose. The water
temperature on the first day was 22 degrees Celcius (71.6 °F), when measured in the morning, which caused the organizers to move the day's session into the afternoon at a pool in the Hatillo part of San Jose. For the subsequent days of Swimming, the competition was moved to a pool in nearby the La Sabana part of the city.
