Stanford Wins 7th Title at U.S. Collegiate Championships
Cardinal win duet, trio, team events; Ohio State 2nd, Lindenwood 3rd
The host Cardinal finished with 97 points, followed by runner-up Ohio State, last year's champion, with 78 points. Lindenwood University was third with 76 points. Canisius College (65) was fourth and University of the Incarnate Word (64.5) took fifth.
Six members of last year's U.S. national team - Lindenwood's Mary Killman and Stanford's Mariya Koroleva, Olivia Morgan, Megan Hansley, Morgan Fuller and Michelle Moore - won medals at the championships.
The host Cardinal won the team final with 91.075 points at
Lindenwood's Killman, a member of the U.S. duet that finished 11th at the 2012 Olympic Games, won the solo final with 89.650 points. Ohio State's Yuliya Maryanko took silver (87.2375) and Lindenwood's Reem Abdalazem grabbed bronze (86.0125).
Stanford took the top two spots in the duet and trio finals. Morgan and Hansley earned gold in the duet with 89.7250 points. Teammates Madison Crocker and Fuller were second (87.7625). Lindenwood's Abdalazem and Anouk Eman finished third (87.0625).
The Cardinal's Morgan, Hansley and Fuller won gold in the trio final with 89.3750 points. The Stanford trio of Crocker, Moore and Koroleva - Killman's duet partner at the 2012 Olympic Games - finished second (88.2875). Lindenwood's Abdalazem, Eman and Killman earned bronze (88.2500).
