2013 FINA Technical & General Congress dates and circulars are posted

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND--FINA has posted the dates for its 2013 Congress, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, coinciding with the 2013 World Championships. Each discipline will have its own meeting (technical congresses), in addition to there being a general meeting (general congress), for 7 meetings total.

The 6 Technical Congress will be held in Hotel Fira Palace Barcelona; while the General Congress will be held in Palacio de Congresos de Barcelona.

The General Congress will be held on July 26, 2013 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The FINA Technical Congresses (with the exception of the General Congress) will all take place at:

The location of the FINA General Congress is to be confirmed.

Competition dates for the 2013 Worlds are:
  -Swimming: July 28-August 4
  -Open Water: July 20, 22, 23, 25 & 27
  -Diving: July 20-31
  -Synchro: July 20-27
  -Water Polo: July 21-August 3

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND--FINA has posted the form needed to apply for Universality swimmers at the 2013 World Championships. Universality qualifying is for nations with less than 4 swimmers qualified via times for Worlds. Nations who wish to utilize Universality qualifying must submit the form to FINA by July 1, 2013. Note: nations must also complete entry procedures with the Worlds organizers in Barcelona.
