U.S. Senior National Championships
Ohio State'sYuliya Maryanko earned the individual high-point award after winning silver medals in solo, duet and team on Saturday. She finished with 15.5 overall points.
Team: Walnut Creek won gold in Saturday's team final with 170.1000 points, edging Ohio State's "Scarlet" squad, which had 169.4125. The University of the Incarnate Word (167.4875) took bronze, with the Santa Clara Aquamaids (165.5125) and Ohio State's "Gray" team (162.6125) rounding out the top 5.
Solo: In the solo final, Lindenwood grabbed gold and bronze, with 2012 Olympian Mary Killman winning with 173.7250 points. OSU's Maryanko was second at 168.6375 and Lindenwood's Reem Abdalazem (167.5125) was third.
Duet: Abdalazem took gold in the duet, joining Lindenwood teammate Anouk Eman to win with 168.0250 points. Ohio State's Paige Ramsey and Maryanko (167.5375) finished second, and Walnut Creek's Haylor and Tchekmarev (166.6500) took third.
U.S. Junior National Championships
Team: Santa Clara edged Walnut Creek in Saturday's team final, scoring 154.9840 points to the Aquanuts' 154.4205. A second Santa Clara squad was third at 147.1385.
Solo: Emma Baranski of the New Canaan Y Aquianas won gold in the junior solo finals Friday with 158.5305 points, edging Rebecca Moody (157.6585) of the Santa Clara Aquamaids. Walnut Creek's Szofi Kiss took bronze at 154.800.
Duet: Santa Clara grabbed first and third in the junior duet finals, with Moody and Karensa Tjoa earning gold medals at 155.9570. Walnut Creek's Karina Marie Boyle and Sandra Ortellado finished second at 155.2745, and the Santa Clara duo of Claire Barton and Sarah Rodriguez took third with 154.8845 points.
Combo: Walnut Creek won the combo finals, finishing with 87.1500 points. The University of the Incarnate Word (85.1125) took silver and the Riverside Aquettes (81.0375) took bronze.
