Dumais brothers finish fourth at World Series in Edinburgh

 

Competition in the 2013 FINA Diving World Series continued in Edinburgh, Great Britain, from April 19-21, with Dwight Dumais and Troy Dumais representing the United States.

The brothers paired up to finish fourth in the synchronized 3-meter contest with 392.46 points, narrowly missing the bronze medal behind Great Britain’s Nick Robinson-Baker and Chris Mears (392.91). China’s Qin Kai and He Chong took gold at 433.65.

Troy also competed in the individual 3-meter contest. He scored 448.90 points but did not advance to the finals. His score was sixth overall and fourth in his semifinal. Ukraine’s Illya Kvasha claimed gold with 516.45 points.

Next up for both Dwight and Troy is the FINA USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from May 9-12. They’ll compete in the individual 3-meter event at that meet.
