Pamela Ware fourth at diving World Series
MOSCOW – Pamela Ware of Beloeil, Que., equalled her career-best international result in the women’s three-metre springboard on Saturday with a fourth place finish at the fourth stop on the FINA World Series diving circuit.
Tingmao Shi led China to a 1-2 finish with 376.05 points upsetting Olympic champion Zi He in second at 357.45. Laura Sanchez of Mexico was third at 335.25.
Ware, 20, scored 318.45 to equal her showing from last year’s World Cup and the German Grand Prix earlier this winter. She also improved one spot from last week’s World Series stop in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In her five dives in the final Saturday, she averaged 7.5’s on three of the dives and 6.5’s on the other two.
Carol-Ann Ware competes on Sunday won women’s 10-metre tower.
