Carol-Ann Ware seventh at diving World Series
MOSCOW – Carol-Ann Ware of Beloeil, Que., finished seventh on Sunday on women’s 10-metre tower to conclude the fourth stop on the FINA World Series diving circuit.
Si Yajie led China to a 1-2 finish with Ruolin Chen second and Yulia Koltunova of Russia third. Ware was fourth in her semifinal heat. The top-three in each of the two morning semis advanced to the final.
Ware was also fourth with her sister Pamela on Friday in 10-metre synchro on Friday while Pamela Ware was fourth on individual three-metre on Saturday.
The Ware sisters and Canada’s other top divers compete later this week against a stellar international field at the Canada Cup Grand Prix May 1-4 in Gatineau, Que.
