An official FINA referee clinic will be held in conjunction with the event- and will be conducted by Eugenio Martinez of Cuba.

 

As a FINA international referee, Martínez participated in six Olympic Games (1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1992 and 1996) also attending three Olympic Games as Member of FINA Technical Water Polo Committee (2000, 2004, 2008). He also attended 10 Pan American Games, 10 Central American and Caribbean Games, 6 World University Games and 4 South American Games.

 

In 1996 during the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Martinez was awarded the FINA Silver Pin and in Athens 2004, the International Association of Water Polo Referees (AIA) named him an Honorary Member.

Help for individuals that want to participate and do not have a team can be found by contacting Nick Gaffey: [email protected] . We will be setting up “Napa style” teams in every age group. To lock down a spot on the roster of one of these teams, please send a $70 check with info sheet containing your name, birthdate, phone number, email, age group you would like to play with, other players you want be placed on the “Napa” roster with, and position. Your check will be held (not cashed) until the entry deadline, 06/01/13, at which point teams will be finalized and players will be updated with tournament information and rosters. Event description:

USA Water Polo is pleased to host the 2013 Pan American Masters Championship June 21-23, 2013 in Orlando, FL. The Championship, awarded by Union American de Natacion, will be hosted in partnership with the YMCA of Central Florida. This event is open to all USA Water Polo Master clubs and will contain age groups starting at 30+ and feature a social on International Drive in Orlando.

This will be the first time the USA has hosted the biennial event. The Championship is expected to attract up to 2,000 aquatic athletes from the South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and the USA. Past events were hosted in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in 2011 and Puerto Rico in 2009.

In addition to water polo, Masters synchronized swimming and swimming competition will be held in Sarasota, FL June 1-12. An open water swim will be hosted June 13 at Siesta Key with Diving taking place June 7-8 in Largo, FL.

Entry Fee: $700 USD

Roster Limit: 15 players (teams can carry additional players, $15 fee per additional player must be collected on top of the general entry fee at roster deadline)

Competition pool size: Indoor 23.5m x 20m

Habra una clinica de arbitraje oficial FINA la cual sera celebrada en conjunto con el evento - sera dictado por Eugenio Martinez de Cuba.
 
Siendo arbitro internacional FINA, Martínez ha participado en seis Juegos Olimpicos
(1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1992 and 1996) ademas habiendo estado presente como Miembro FINA del Comite de Polo Acuatico (2000, 2004, 2008). Igualmente ha estado presente en 10 Juegos Panamericanos, 10 Centroamericanos y de Caribe, 6 Juegos University (Universitarios) y 4 Juegos Sudamericanos.
