Three Arena suits removed from FINA approved swimwear list

Three Arena suits removed from FINA approved swimwear list

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND--Today FINA has removed 3 Arena suits from the approved suit list. The removal followed a request submitted to FINA by the suit manufacturer.

All 3 removed suits are from the first generation of Arena's Powerskin Carbon-Pro line, and had been valid for competition since January 1, 2012. FINA has listed the removed suits in a note that is now on the
bottom of Arena's portion of the approved suit list:

The suits removed from the list are a:
  -women's full-knee open back (FINA #AR220993)
  -women's full-knee closed back (FINA #AR220994)
  -men's jammer (FINA #AR141364)

Note: In the note on the FINA subpage the women's suits are identified as "full body", however, when on the list they were listed as "full-knee" (and therefore were valid for pool and open water usage).

It should also be noted that several Carbon-Pro suits remain valid for competition, including other women's full-knee models and a men's jammer model.
