St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association 7th Developmental Swim Meet

 

The Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre (RHAC) hosted a successful 7th Developmental Swim Meet on Saturday 18th May 2013 at the Aquatic Center. Under sanction by the St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association, the meet ran for just under three hours in the afternoon and attracted over 150 swimmers from various swim clubs and schools. Under the guidance of Meet Director and Referee Dr. Diane Worrell the meet ran very smoothly with older swimmers taking up officiating positions insuring a timely completion of the event. An additional development was a strong representation of local schools by their swimmers in addition to the normal club representation.  Schools represented were Anglican Primary, Balata Primary, Corinth Primary, Dame Perlette Louisy, Gros islet Infant, St. Joseph's Convent, and the clubs represented were Cobra Adventures, Lightning Aquatics, Racers, Sea Jays and Sharks.  Designed especially for new swimmers, there were kickboard events and short distance stroke events.
