Richard Carrion of Puerto Rico is one of 6 candidates for IOC President

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND--The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on announced there are 6 candidates for IOC President, for elections that will be held on September 10. The election is to replace Jacques Rogge in the position. Candidates for the election are:

  -Thomas Bach, Germany;
  -Sergey Bubka, Ukraine;
  -Richard Carrión, Puerto Rico;
  -Ser Miang Ng, Singapore;
  -Denis Oswald, Switzerland; and
  -Ching-Kuo Wu, Chinese Taipei.
