Executive Board of the IOC Met in Moscow

MOSCOW, RUSSIA--The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) met today in Moscow. As part of the meeting, changes to the sport programs for the 2016 Olympics were considered. The Executive Board maintained its earlier decision to not increase the number of athletes nor medal events at the Games. As such, all changes to the
Olympic program (from 2012 to 2016) involved exchanging one event for another, or moving athlete allocations from one event to another.

Exchanges were made for in four sports, based on requests made by their respective International Federations: Cycling, Equestrian, Sailing and Wrestling. A report on the meeting, which includes specifics on the
