Runako Daniel Sets Two St. Lucia National Records at US SPEEDO Junior Nationals

RUNAKO DANIEL SETS TWO NATIONAL RECORDS

Immediately following the FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain, Joshua Runako Daniel traveled to Irvine, California, to compete in the USA Swimming 2013 Speedo Junior National Championships held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center 

Entering the 50M Free at number 64^th, Runako shot up to 28^th place with a new St Lucia National Record of 23.87s

Earlier in the week, Runako completed a time trial in 100M Free, and recorded a time of 53.43s, also a National Record time. This brings to six the number of Long Course national Records held by the phenom athlete

Runako headed home this week-end for a well-deserved rest, before returning to school in the US at the end of August.

The Speedo Junior National Championships is the biggest summer LC meet for juniors with Runako competing against the very best swimmers in the USA and is attended by college coaches from across the country.
