You may have found it difficult to get results quickly yesterday, but OH HOW THINGS HAVE GOTTEN BETTER OVERNIGHT........with a tip of the hat to SwimSwam, we are pleased to bring you links to current and past results and live streaming of the 4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.

The 2013 FINA World Junior Championships began on Monday, August 26th in Dubai, UAE, and a slew of the world’s best swimmers will be in attendance for the 6-day meet.

FINA has touted this meet as the most participated meet in the four-version history of the meet with 900 athletes from 95 federations. An impressive statistic, given the open qualification standards for the meet.

QUALIFYING STANDARDS

GIRLS: 14 – 17 years on 31 December 2013 (born 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996)
BOYS:  15 – 18 years on 31 December 2013 (born 1998, 1997, 1996 and 1995)

All FINA member federations can send up to two athletes per event without restriction to time.

4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships Day 1 - Photos & Evening Report

Australia had a resurgence in the pool at the 4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships tonight, taking two gold and I silver in the first finals session. The US also performed strongly and now heads the medal table with 2 gold and 2 silver after an exciting evening of action which also saw five championship records fall.
 
Images are: The Opening Ceremony Emirati display, Mack Horton of Australia winning the 400m freestyle and the USA gold medalists in the 4x200m freestyle relay.
