Capri Sun National Short Course Championships in St. Lucia

OVER 140 SWIMMERS FOR 2013 CAPRI SUN SWIM TRIALS

Over 140 of St Lucias top swimmers are expected to participate in the 14th   Annual CAPRI SUN National Short Course Championships to be held on the 18^th to 20^th October 2013 at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Center. The opening ceremony is on Friday afternoon at 5:30 pm and Awards Presentation on Sunday at 2 pm.

Sea Jays Swim Club is the host organizer

Capri Sun, through their agents in St Lucia, Consolidated Foods have sponsored the National Swimming trials, this year being the fourteenth anniversary of the meet.

At a recent presentation ceremony, Taluah Girard - Super J IGA Marketing Officer presented to Sea Jays Legends Swim Club President Dr Tessa Peters and swimmers the Capri-Sun cheque.

The St Lucias Amateur Swimming Association and Cox and Co have also become silver sponsors

Many of the top local swimmers are expected to attend, including national representatives. The trials will be used to assess their performance as the swimmers attempt to qualify for the National Team which will do battle with Grenada, Antigua,  and St Vincent at the 2013 OECS Championships in St Lucia in November

The swimmers will represent the local clubs, Sharks Swim Club

Sea Jays Swim Club, Racers Swim Club, Lightning Aquatics Swim Club, Cobras Swim club and Southern Flying Fish
