MONTREAL, CANADA--On September 26, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)
posted the list of prohibited substances for 2014. The list goes into
effect on January 1, 2014. Included with the announcement of the 2014
list is a summary of significant changes included in the list. WADA's

In WADA-related news, the fourth (and final) draft of changes to the
World Anti-Doping Code was posted on October 18. This draft Code now
goes to WADA's Foundation Board, which will vote on whether or not to
adopt the revisions at its meeting next month in Durban, South Africa.
The approved version of the Code is planned to go into effect beginning
in 2015. A copy of the revised Code can be found online here:

Earlier this month WADA also announced to limit the number of testing
laboratories to 40 for the next 5 years. With this plan, no new labs
will be approved for Europe, Oceania, North America or Central America.
The plan also calls for support for lab additions in South America (2)
and Africa (2: 1 northern, 1 central).
