Brazil named host of the 30th Summer Universiade in 2019

 

BRUSSEL, BELGIUM--The International University Sports Federation (FISU) on Saturday elected Brasilia, Brazil as the host of the 30th Summer Universiade in 2019. Originally running for the host of the 2019 World University Games were Brasilia; Budapest, Hungary; and Baku, Azerbaijan. The two other candidates for the Summer Universiade both withdrew their bids; Budapest due to their being awarded the 2021 FINA World
