Chilean Olympic Committee names team for the 2014 South American Games
CHILE--Earlier this month, the Chilean Olympic Committee reportedly
announced a 590 athlete team for the 2014 South American Games, which
the nation will host next month in Santiago. Chile will have athletes in
33 sports, including Swimming, Open Water and Synchro. The Swimming and
Open Water team for the Games is:
-females (11): Catalina Aguilar, Katarina Blanco, Sara Escobar Molina,
Kristel Köbrich, Martina Navarro, Isabel Riquelme, Courtney Schultz,
Avalon Schultz, Marianne Spuhr, Stefanía Urzúa and Mahina Valdivia.
-males (14): Andrés Bastías, Oliver Elliot, Jose Galvez, Benjamín
Ibañez, Martín Marchetti, Eduardo Opazo, Alonso Pérez, Benjamín
Quintanilla, Felipe Quiroz, Joaquín Sepúlveda, Felipe Tapia, Javier
Vásquez, Vicente Vidal, and Cristian Zapata.
-coaches (9): Rodrigo Bañados Estani, Rafael Baeza Olivarez, Omar
